Rebecca and Zach | Perry County Engagement Session | Enslow Bridge

I made the trek up to good old Perry County yesterday for Rebecca and Zach's engagement session and it was beyond worth it!  These two high school sweethearts are tying the knot in just a few short weeks after dating for 9 years.  We had been planning the session for a few months, but of course were rained out numerous times.

Zach planned the sweet proposal and had it take place in Rebecca's classroom after school.  After playing it off as just coming in to see the room, he asked her how her day was.  When she responded that it wasn't great, he got down on one knee and said "maybe this will make your day better."  I have a feeling it did ;-)

Rebecca and Zach chose the location for our session for a few reasons.  Zach absolutely loves his hometown of Blain and he wanted to include his cherished Model T that his grandfather had rebuilt.  Since the Model T was a little testy, they chose the beautiful Enslow Covered Bridge right down the road from Zach's parent's house.

When I asked Rebecca about their experience, she said:

"Amanda made us feel so comfortable and was able to laugh with us as we laughed at ourselves. Zach and I always feel really awkward when we take pictures so we have to crack jokes and be silly and Amanda made that work for us. She also was good about making us look naturally because we tend to freeze up in pictures. She made us feel like we were doing a great job just being ourselves."

When I asked them what advice they have for other couples, she said:

"Don’t force things that aren’t natural for the two of you and let the photographer do the work and just listen, relax, and smile."

Here's just a little sneak peek for Rebecca and Zach!  I am so so so excited for their big day at the gorgeous Peter Allen House in just a few short weeks!
